How Does IPL Work?
Before beginning your IPL treatment, one of the friendly staff members at our Crestview, FL med spa will first cleanse your face to remove any oil, debris, or makeup. Once you are ready, we'll use the Dye-VL PRO handpiece to treat the target area with pulses of light energy that are specifically attuned to absorb hemoglobin and melanin, two of the substances that can cause discoloration in the skin. The process usually takes about 30 minutes, and you should feel little to no discomfort during this time. Post-treatment, you may experience redness or sensitivity, but these will pass. Generally, it takes about 4 – 5 sessions to get the full benefits of IPL therapy, but you may notice significant improvements in your complexion after just one appointment.
